PPC League Novelty Shoot
The Novelty Shoots are usually held the
second Sunday of January through March,
starting at 1:00 p.m. We are beside the PPC
Range, or at the Indoor Range in
the event of inclement weather. Each match has 15 shooters. You get six shots at five
bowling pins or other targets for $2.00, and you have to knock them all down to qualify in that
match. Fastest time wins the match!
Indoor Novelty Shoot
- Held in the HH&A Indoor Range during January –
March timeframe, generally the 2nd Sunday, from 1 PM - 3 PM .
-
Shoot Luck Targets (e.g., poker, bowling pins,
coins, pool balls, random number grid, darts, small bullseyes, etc.) at the
indoor pistol range, using .22 LR pistols (red dot scopes ok). 5 shots per target.
- Cost is $2 per match, with 50% payback to shooters.
Range limit is 18 shooters per match.
Shoot as many matches as you like.
- Payout to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, using
Lewis Classification.
- No holster required, two hand grip may be used.
Ear and eye protection required.
- Come out and have some fun with us. Bring
your shooting friends with you. Novelty shoots are open to the public.
Feel free to pass this announcement along to others who may be interested.
If we are shooting at the indoor range, we use a
variety of luck targets - skill usually does not play a factor.
Wood's Walk
Our Black Powder friends have been kind enough to let us use
their wood's walk course for the Novelty Shoot. Participants can test their
hunting skills on a variety of steel animal targets at various distances. Watch
the calendar for the dates of this fun and challenging event.
Keep in mind....... Revolvers or
semi-auto's are allowed, but if you reload and want to keep your brass it's
tough to find in the woods. I use the revolver for this course! Targets can be
up to 70 yards away, a .22 caliber is a little under-powered.
Woods Walk Novelty Shoot
- Time - 1:00 p.m.
- No magnums
- Lead bullets only
- $5.00 to enter
- Lewis class scoring
