What is the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA)?
USPSA is one of the most exciting and dynamic shooting sports in the country. Competitors navigate challenging courses of fire that test accuracy, speed, power, and problem-solving skills. Each stage presents a unique challenge, rewarding safe firearm handling, efficient movement, and precise shot placement.
Harrisburg Hunters' & Anglers' Association is proud to host USPSA matches for shooters looking to develop their skills in a safe, competitive, and welcoming environment. Whether you are an experienced competitor or attending your very first match, our volunteers and Range Officers are committed to helping you enjoy the sport while maintaining the highest standards of safety and sportsmanship. Consistent with HHA's long-standing mission, our USPSA program provides opportunities for skill development, fellowship, and responsible firearms education.
New Shooters Welcome
Never shot a USPSA match before? No problem.
New shooters are encouraged to participate. A mandatory safety briefing is provided before the match, and experienced competitors are available to answer questions and help newcomers understand match procedures, scoring, and equipment requirements. Our goal is to create a positive experience that keeps shooters coming back
Match Information
Our monthly USPSA matches feature:
- Multiple action-packed stages
- USPSA classifier stages when scheduled
- Challenging target presentations
- Opportunities for competitors of all skill levels
- A safe and professionally managed shooting environment
Equipment Requirements
Competitors should bring:
- A reliable centerfire handgun
- A safe holster suitable for competition
- At least three magazines
- Eye and ear protection
- Sufficient ammunition for the match (stage count and approximate round count can be found per match on PractiScore: https://practiscore.com/clubs/harrisburg_hunters_and_anglers_1)
