PCSL Pistol Shoot
HHA is starting a new match for those in our community who want to practice moving and shooting with their favorite pistol. The first match in this series will be on Sat August 23rd at our PPC #2 range. Shooters are encouraged to come on out and test their skills moving between two to three shooting positions and engaging a variety of targets from reactive steel, silhouettes, and even bowling pins. If you want a fun and engaging match testing your ability to move, think and shoot, this is the match for you. The match will be open to the public and will start at 9:00. We plan to have at least three bays for shooting fun with a different target setup at each. More details will be provided as we get closer to our first match. Contact our match director Gene Cash at gene_cash@yahoo.com for more details or to volunteer to assist with this exciting new match.

Range Evaluation
A representative from the NRA Community Engagement Division recently conducted a Range Evaluation at HAA. The Range Technical Team’s purpose for the visit was to review the general condition of the existing range facilities. Overall, there were suggestions and opportunities to enhance our ranges, but no distinct shortcomings that needed to be addressed. A few of the comments from their assessment were:
"The request to have the Range Technical Team evaluate the facility without provocation is in itself a demonstration of thoughtful reflection."
"From the sign out front, to the condition of the ranges, there is great effort being made to provide a clean, well-maintained, shooting facility for use by the members.”
"Ranges are exceptionally clean and well maintained."
"HHAA leadership appears to be well informed, communicating their understanding that an essential component of operating a sound outdoor shooting range is the need to stay proactive in the management of environmental issues. Evidence of the HHAA’s desire to keep environmental responsibility at the forefront of the operation is seen in several of their actions."
HHA membership can take pride in your club and hold in high regard the volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain the grounds. You are all recognized for work well done because you deserve it!
