The 61st Annual Walter Wise Memorial Police Pistol Match
Dates: September 18-19, 2021
Unfortunately, our 2020 match was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, we plan on holding it again on the 3rd weekend in September, 2021. We hope that things will be mostly back to normal by then and that you all will be able to join us for some fun.
This year, we had 135 shooters from FL, MA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, PA, SC, VA, and WV compete in the 60th Annual Walter Wise Memorial Police Pistol Match which was held on September 21-22 at our outdoor Bullseye range. The weather was great, and it was nice to see old friends and fellow shooters again! Many new friendships were made as well.
After the presentation of colors by the PA Army National Guard, three relays of Rimfire and Centerfire matches were shot each day.
Khang Le was the Match Winner (this was his 7th time) with a two-day aggregate score of 3588-271x. Dan Kupar was 2nd and close behind with 3586-267x. Vernon Ferguson was 3rd with 3584-239x. The competition was fierce again this year!
In the 5-Man Team Matches, the West Caln Sportsman Club was the Grand Winner in Rimfire, and the Metropolitan Pistol League was the Grand Winner in Centerfire. In the 2-Man Team Matches, Hiem Trang and Khang Le were the Class A Winners in Rimfire on both Saturday and Sunday.
Patrick Kelly and Jerry Ford were the Class A Winners in Centerfire on Saturday, and Hiem Trang and Khang Le were the Class A Winners in Centerfire on Sunday. In the Special Categories, Khang Le was High Civilian, George Reichart was High Service, Steven Gibbons was High Police, Julie Latzgo was High Woman, Will Poole was High Junior, Vernon Ferguson was High Senior, Ed Hoey was High Grand Senior, and Bernard Kenny was High Super Senior.
In the special Commemorative Centerfire Revolver Match, Khang Le won for the 5th year in a row with a score of 297-17x.
Five Standing Records were either broken or tied at the match this year:
Dan Kupar tied the shared standing record for Rimfire Slowfire with a score of 200-20x.
Khang Le tied the shared standing record for Rimfire Slowfire for the 2nd time with his 200-20x.
Steven Gibbons set a new record for High Police Rimfire Aggregate on Sunday with a score of 900-77x.
Steven Gibbons also set a new record for High Senior Aggregate on Sunday with his 900-77x.
Ed Grove tied his own standing record for Grand Senior Rimfire Aggregate on Sunday with a score of 897-59x.

Our next match will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 18-19, 2021. Please mark your calendars and plan on coming to shoot with us again. Feel free to bring some new shooters with you to share in the fun! Our match is open to the public.
Our commissary will be serving breakfast and lunch both days of the match!
