2020 NRA APPROVED HIGH POWER
RIFLE TOURNAMENT


PLACE: Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers Association, 6611 Hunters Run Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
 

DATES: April 4, May 2, June 6, July 11, August 1, September 5 (Medal Match, NO Alibis will be allowed), October 3.
 

TIME: First relay starts at 9 AM followed by a second relay if necessary. Registration begins at 8:30 AM or by phone/email in advance (preferred). April 4th, 1st relay at 12:30. Second relay for returning shooters after 1st .
 

FEE: All matches $15.00. Payment can be cash or checks payable to the "Harrisburg Hunters' and Anglers' Association".
 

COMPETITION: Open to all shooters. Beginners are welcome. Club membership not required.


CLASSIFICATION: NRA classification will be used. Scores will be reported to NRA Competitions each month.
 

RULES: Current NRA High Power Rifle rules will apply. Use of empty chamber indicators required.


RIFLES ALLOWED: U.S. Service Rifles. U.S. Rifle, Caliber 7.62 M-110 series. Match rifles, or Foreign Military rifles. NRA high power rules 3.1(c) M16 series service rifle. Optical sights with a maximum power of 4.5X installed on the receiver are permitted.


COURSE OF FIRE: National Match Course, modified for 100 yards

Stage #1: 10 rounds Slow Fire Standing, 100 yds; 10 min/; SR1 target

Stage #2 : 10 rounds Rapid Fire Sitting, 100 yds; 60 sec/string, SR1 target

Stage #3: 10 rounds Rapid Fire Prone, 100 yds, 70 sec/string; SR21 target

Stage #4: 20 rounds Slow Fire Prone, 100 yds; 20 min; MR31 target

(2 sighter shots in 2 min. prior to each stage)

GENERAL INFO: AR15 and M1 Garand rifles are available for loan at no charge. Please make prior reservation. 30-06 and .223 ball ammo available for purchase. No reloaded ammo used in club guns. Ask about use of spotting scopes, shooting mats, & shooting gloves.

DIRECTIONS:
The range is located about 5 miles Northeast of Harrisburg. From I-81, get off at Exit 72A (Paxtonia exit). Follow N. Mountain Road to the second light at Old Jonestown Road. Turn left on Old Jonestown Road and go about ¼ mile. Just past Paxtonia Elementary School, turn right at the light onto Nyes Road. Follow Nyes Road for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left on Hunters Run Road and follow it for approximately 3/4 mile. The range entrance is located on the left. Enter gate and follow unpaved road around to the 100-yard rifle range.
